Give with confidence, not guesswork

Bespoke philanthropy advice that finds the intersection between what’s meaningful to you and what’s genuinely impactful.
Our view
We believe every significant gift should reach the organisations that can do the most good with it. Too often, it doesn't. Philanthropic capital flows toward familiar names, not necessarily the ones delivering greatest impact.
Your giving should reach the intersection of personal meaning and measurable impact. That means moving beyond house lists to find perfect-fit organisations, speaking in plain language, and challenging you to fund systems, not just symptoms.
Why Ampersand
01
Finding organisations that truly fit
Technology-enabled searches surface high-quality charities that match your specific goals, not just the familiar names. Small, regional, and underrepresented organisations get equal consideration alongside established names.
02
Expertise across the funding landscape
Ampersand brings experience from charity fundraising, leading the effective philanthropy work at New Philanthropy Capital, and specialising in donor advised funds at Hoare’s Bank. This means understanding what funders need, what charities need, and how to bridge the gap.
03
Challenge and clarity
Together, we will explore challenging questions about systems, root causes, and what genuinely constitutes great funding. We’ll speak in plain language without sector jargon. And we’ll help you move from a desire to give back, to achieving measurable impact.
About Ampersand Philanthropy
